Have you been using the sitemap v1.7??? - where you can list your old urls in the google sitemap???

There are a number of url's that the v1.7 does not include, but it includes the main ones.

The concept is that Google sees the old url's, sees the redirect, and deletes the old url's.

But Google is not a nice beast, and does resurrect the old url's every so often. Time then is the only healer.

you can setup a redirection from old domain to a new location to let google bot know that it's moved:

Thanks guys .. I think I am using 1.7, but the forums. subdomain is now removed/disabled, because Urchin stats were filling up my space.

Do you suggest I re-enable it and use the above redirect in .htaccess?

Plus, rather oddly, I can't find any of the forums.nzboards.com results any more.

site:.nzboards.com gives me about 452 results.

I did a big jump recently in Google, I have 51,600 vbseo pages indexed (out of 68,300 indexed pages).

Yahoo, 32,100 vbseo pages (out of 367,000 indexed pages).

As of the time of this post, here's Google:

129,000 Total

129,000 vBSEO

9850 pages

A measily 135 vbseo pages while having 76,700 total
