Google Hates that site . But it does still love our hotel site which always shows for town - hotel 1-5 depending on day, So i guess it is a love hate think with Google. I am still waiting on Google updating the URL, I guess it happens when it happens. And yahoo just plain old hates anything I do, I am sure somewhere on every page I publish I am putting in $%& off Yahoo, my wife says it obvious they are in partnership with BT now and things can only get worse

I have to say in the short term I am not bothered as I have placed £200 week aside for click ads (not from sites as I do not trust them, only from Google search) to help sell the quizzes. And hopefully though selling the quizzes I will pick up a few posting users.

Ahh.. apparently Spiders don't like underscores in URLS... the dashes are more than likely helping in that regard.

Do not believe that one, our company site only uses underscores and is PR 6 and generates nearly half our hotel sales.

    FYI:

    http://www.prweaver.com/blog/2004/08...and-underscore
    http://forums.seochat.com/google-opt...ults-9981.html
    http://www.lattimore.id.au/2005/05/2...s-underscores/
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/dashes-vs-underscores/ (Matt Cutts is a Google Dev IIRC)

Just a few of the thousands of pages where people have tested this and have found that using _ in urls has less-than-desired results.

The inbound links are what is worrying me (not even from an seo point, but we make sales through those links).

If you do a 301 redirect for them, the old links will still work also.

How can I come up with a 301 to send online_sales

    online_sales_blue_socks to online-sales-blue-socks
    online_sales_red_socks to online-sales-red-socks
    online_sales_green_socks to online-sales-red-socks

And all the others and all the internal links with out having to write a 301 for each page, christ this is a big job.

Seriously I know it is not vbulletin but any ideas would be very welcome.

BTW kell I blame you for all this with those bloody links. I was living in happy bliss to the hole - _ thing.
