    Home Theater Shack experience...

Okay... now that this is a owned product by us, I see no need to keep my thread chumming along in Pre-Sales. I figure I'll start this thread to post our progress and results.

Purchased the product a little while ago and within an hour had it to download. Fast, and thanks Joe!

Uploaded the test.php file to our public_html/forums folder and opened it in my web browser. I got a NO for Zend and a YES for Ioncube. So I've downloaded the Ioncube Version.

I suppose I need to wait until traffic slows down before I close the forum to upload everthing.

    Re: Home Theater Shack experience...

I went ahead and queried several of the search engines with "site:www.hometheatershack.com" and found the following pages:

Nielsen NetRatings Search Engine Ratings Top 5
    Google | 38
    Yahoo | 62
    MSN | 50
    My Way | 0
    Ask | 0

I may not have uploaded my URL to the last two, which My Way seems to be powered by Ask anyway.

    Re: Home Theater Shack experience...

It's been about 5 weeks so I figured I'd post an update.

Search Engine | Beginning | Today

    Google | 38 | 218
    Yahoo | 62 | 391
    MSN | 50 | 1462

The AskJeeves spider is regularly crawling our site but no luck with listings on My Way or Ask yet.

Google seems like it's really lagging compared to what I've seen with several others here. MSN isn't doing bad at all, but traffic hasn't changed much from the normal since we've installed vBSEO. I can only hope it will get better.

    Update...

    Beginning (5-11-06) | 6-20-06 | Today (8-4-06)

    Google 38 | 218 | 157
    Yahoo 62 | 391 | 192
    MSN 50 | 1462 | 3390
    Ask 0 | 0 | 2

I'm not sure why or maybe if we are doing something wrong, but we can't seem to get anywhere with Google. We also get maybe 2-3 hits per day on our archive.

    Any ideas?

Google is having issues still. Lots of sites are in the "I've fallen and I can't get up" stage.

MSN is obviously doing the best for us and that's without a sitemap.
