Google taking their time

I have done everything that i think i need to do, and all the keywords and descriptions etc on google are still referring to the old site ?

The problem is that this site had been offline for about 6 months so it is referring to my hosts page ( or whatever its called )

It also still refers to the origonal site i had online in places, with all or most the wrong keywords, titles etc

is there a way i can let ( or ask ) google to re-index all my pages agan, as i have been online about 2 or 3 weeks and seen no results

cheers
