As long as people ignore the mis-spelling link, it should in time drop off as it is smart and will realize that this too must be a real term.

My brother owns ubunu.de a term he created to sell his slide for kids.
He has the problem that ubuntu linux is so dominant google not even recognises a search for his domain instead it shows ubuntu results. And even after you click on "instead search for ubunu" you get ubuntu as the first 2 results.
That's really bad for brand building
