Google Analytics: What is your registration abandonment?

I am absolutely in love with Google analytics. My latest focus is one of my most important metrics: registration rates. Of the last 100 users to click register, 42% signed up.

I recently redesigned my site, spent some time on phrase wording, and increased my registration rate from 40% to 50%. I'm looking at a sample of about 50 users last week and the week before and 40 users this week.

These numbers feel a little low to me. about 15% of visitors that click register abandon between agreeing to the rules and signing up for an account.

    How does your site compare?

I should add that a half hour of adjusting phrases in the registration process increased my registration from 40% to 80%. I'm a moron for not doing it sooner considering I'm spending money on advertising!

If you having registered for your own site in a while, go through the process and see if it's as good as it can be.
