it doesn't work. vb convets everything into searchid=xxxx instead of q=search+terms

    I'm confused. The following thread
Google Analytics "Site Search" with vBulletin search

seems to claim the feature is now built in to vbseo. Was it removed? I'm using vb 4.0.8. This would be EXTREMELY useful to track within google analytics.

    Thanks

I must've been thinking about something else when this was originally asked. Just enter q as outlined in the other thread.

Ok, so enabling and just entering q in the parameter box in analytics will do the trick?

This does not appear to be working for me. I've had it enabled for 2 days now, and I myself entered several search queries to test it. The results show 1 search, none of which were mine (and the site does have over 3000 uniques/day).

Yes, it was a very simple setup, but no stats are showing. just as a comparison, I add the registration funnel (another thing to track) and am already receiving stats on that.

I'm not sure where to guide you at this point. That is the only thing that needs to be done. I know it does take some time, but 2 days should be more than enough to track.

running vbseo 3.5.2 + the q as above is the only thing i have done, and as the previous screen shot i am tracking data.

I have the same problem, enetered the q parametere, but don't get any stats in GA.
I thought maybe that's because I use Gravity Inshights plugin, as it's working with search function ... ?

    no, i'm still on 3.8.

Gravity should have no bearing on this.
