Question Google Analytics not tracking after install

Hi there. A developer installed vBSEO on my site yesterday http://www.ehmac.ca/.

After 24 hours, I went to look at some Google Analytics stats (Not expecting results already of course, just checking things out)

It appears that Google Analytics stopped tracking data as soon as vBSEO was installed. Previously, the Google Analytics tracking code was installed in the template. I believe he removed that, and turned on the tracking in the vBSEO CP, and put my Analytics ID number in.

When I few source on my page, I see the Analytics Tracking code, but it seems to appear at the very bottom of the page.

Any suggestions on things I can check? TIA.

Have you double checked to make sure the correct code was put in?

Yep, double checked that the same ID code was used.

Doesn't look like the code is installed properly.

    _uacct = "UA-841941";

I think there should be be more code, something like UA-841941-1

after 841941, there should be a - and a number. I used -1 just as an example.

    Thanks for your help.

The code is definitely the correct one. "UA-841941" is the exact code I was using before the change, and when I log into my analytics account, and check my code, that's the exact one that appears.

    Hmmmm

I just check my analytics, and still no data being tracked. Its wierd, the Analytics page gives the status of checked - Receiving Data.

Right that is your account number, but it shouldn't be what you use in your code.

Go to analytics, and by your website, click on "edit"
When you are there, on the top right, there should be a link that says "check status".

Look at the code that is in there, and get the number from in there.

AHA! Yes, I do see the code there with the -1 a the end. I will try putting that in my vBSEO CP.

Thanks very much for your help, I think that will probably work.

    - Update - When I view the source on a page from my site, it now displays the code with the -1. The first time I did it, I would of copied and pasted the entire code, which would of had the -1 in it as well. Thanks again!
