Google Analytics - New Free Tool!

Google Analytics doesn't work for me either - after clicking the "Check Status" link it says "Analytics has been successfully installed and data is being gathered now. Your first reports will be ready within twelve hours.", but right *after* that it shows the same message:

Tracking has not been validated or added to one or more of your Website Profiles

And it passed well over 12 hours already - no reports available yet

Does anyone have a real report so far?

I don't see that message on mine. Here is the screen:

Oleg pressed the Check Status link, besides it looks as though we are all currently relaxing in the "We are still fixing the bugs, so away!" pile.

Here's when I press the status link:

I have "Waiting for Data" messages in the "Status" column too, but it is more than 24h after my first submission now, so I'm curious if it's a common case

I wonder if they have capacity to handle all signups they currently are receiving. The interface seem slow sometimes.

I am also waiting for my first stats, but it is great they are offering this service for free, if it works.

Same here, the reports are accurate and upto date too.

I have reports, but they don't seem accurate.

Yesterday (the 15th) Google says I had 8,533 page views, but my server logs say 43,358.

On the 14th, Google says 11,634 page views, and my logs show 40,077.

Quite a large gap.

Yes, it shows vBSEOed URLs for me

Wow. Just logged into my adwords account and was asked to change the old email address to my gmail address.

Now analytics is accessable on the same login as the adwords.

But I still dont see my gmail, or adsense on the menu structure of the adwords login. It will be good when its all there on one menu system.

Adword tracking

By default, analytics tracking of adwords is not turned on. Via My Account, User preferences, [Analytics - Destination URL auto-tagging] can be turned on, and so allow you to track clickthroughs.

In the ecommerce part of analytics, you can populate a hidden textarea field with data that will be included into your analytics analysis pages - this can then be combined with your adwords tracking for revenue per click etc calcs.

So much to learn

So much to learn to be able to really drive the analytics package. Very cool.

Further development

Would be nice if you could track adsense clicks and the pages that people clicked from. I will be keeping my eyes out for this one. There is some great javascript for tracking adsense clicks, would be great if this could be used.

Still doesn't works for me... not able to validate the code but I can see it in my website's source.
