Get rid of the urchin code!

Now I don't post here often, so sorry for not participating, but I figured I'd have to share this anomaly.

I got rid of the vbseo built in urchin code (just check the box for off) since I could never get the built in conversion code to work. I must be doing something wrong, but I gave up. Wasn't that important to me.


SO... I decided to put in Google's NEW code. I know vbseo here said they would implement it into their new release... whenever that might happen, but maybe it should be sooner then later? Check out these results.





Coincidence? Maybe. But you can see how steady it has been (these results are from Google only) and then after the code change. WOA... A good spike. I'll know more today if I just had a good week, or if it rebounds again today. But even on Sunday, I had higher then my normal average.

Again, could be coincidence, or it could be Google's way of rewarding you with higher search results. Never know. Thought I'd pass it along as food for thought.

Ah, that built in picture thing makes it look too small.... Bah.

Google Analytics has no effect on your SE rankings at all. Analytics just check your sites statistics.

You can also use Analytics new code format with vBSEO with a file edit. If you want to use it New Google Analytics Code

As I said.. probably coincidence, but very uncanny.

I am going to be surprised if anyone every determines that Google is using the Analytics data for anything such as SERPS or for pricing in Adwords... they would get eviscerated. It would be a scandal!

Only if all the site's cooldowns are ready, and Remorseless has procced.

*edit* I believe Analytics will require the new code eventually.
