Understatement of the year.
I've had the same thing happen. They removed all but the main forum links on some DC's. I'm not really worried now since they have acknowledged the fact theat results will be all over the place.

I'd say considering what many people have lost, you've come out pretty damn clean and show improvements across the board.
I tihnk most people who have rewritten url's are fairing much better than those still using dynamic links. My traffic is increasing and my SERPS for various terms are higher than most other forums in my niche area. Forums PR is up which increases the PR for various threads which brings in the traffic. Google had a bad March for many people but it seems to be settling down now even though progress can be slow at times.
Remember its not how many pages you have indexed but where thsoe pages are when someone does a search. Its better to have 10 pages ranking in the top 5 rather than 100 pages buried on page 3+ and higher. vbSEO will help this greatly.
Amen to that.Originally Posted by gcc llc

Any comments, specially on GOOGLE?
google recently dropped a whole lot of my pages recently too. they are starting to reindex and I'm actually starting to get a lot more hits from google now. I'll have to see how this turns out as more are indexed.
new variable to factor in this progress is the BigDaddy fiasco. Regardless of the SEO hack, the downtrend of this de-indexing is a big wave throughout the web. So I guess, anyone who tracking the progress of before and after their recent SEO installation might caught in the middle of google's major glitch.Originally Posted by newseo1

My question - What do your visitor stats look like? All this is fine, but what about actual visitors. For example, I do log analysis. My concern is not how all these figures you cite come into play. My concern is are your (in my case my) 'unique' visitors (not to mention return visitors) increasing month by month?
I have a vBulletin forum and my unique visitors and return visitors have increased substantially since January, and they continue to increase. My pages listed have decreased significantly as well, but with visitors up significantly why should I, or anyone, care?
I guess I'm questioning the 'benchmarks' being watched.
Marc
Yes, I agree with you. What counts is the number of visitors. What we are measuring here is different, but has an impact on the number of visitors.
In general, the number of visitors to the site have been steadily increasing in the last few months.![]()
