A few questions about how is google indexing my forum.

Hi,

I see that Google is indexing URLs that ends like this:

www.spoilers.es/51-post2.html
www.spoilers.es/125-post1.html
www.spoilers.es/198-post1.html

Is this duplicate content? How can I fix it?

I run site:SPOILERS .es - Foro de Series de Televisión y Cine. to check the indexed items.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance,

Spaniard.

You may choose "Replace post number link with Permalink" in vBSEO options. Or edit styles to hide ShowPost links only from Guests.

Hi Joe, I'm a freelancer - working on different forums each time, so I didn't buy vBSEO.

Thanks for the help, I choose: "Replace post number link with Permalink" in VBSeo options. Will see changes in a few days.

But my question is... was this duplicate content?

Regards!

It would certainly result in some detection of duplicate phrases/paragraphs, etc, but it would not be 100% duplication of a thread page.

Since posts rarely are given titles, their content is also found on thread pages, and showpost pages greatly add the # of pages that must be crawled by Google, I prefer blocking them for better efficiency.
