    Excellent News

I've been regually checking Google for news about how well they are doing with the indexing of my pages, and a couple of days ago i checked that we had a reletively disappointing 986 pages indexed. Now, this has increased by over 100% 10,800, check here http://www.google.com/search?num=20&...aff-lounge.com

Hopefully now we can start targetting some more difficult keywords and improve the traffic attained from Search Engines too. Thanks vBSEO for helping me get indexed so effectively.

You still only have about 1,000 of your "new" vbSEO pages indexed though:

Mine was at 55k+, and is now around 13k:
    http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...reblades%2Eorg

And only about 130 vbSEO pages have been indexed:
    http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...es%2Eorg+vbseo

(Have had it installed for several months now.)

Google has just been avoiding my site for some reason, while Yahoo has been eating it up and is already up past 12k vbSEO pages indexed:

I believe that it is possible that Google narrowed down the search results to a "most relevant set" only when searching for "vBSEO" string.

For instance, there is about 10,300 ".html" urls indexed:
    http://www.google.com/search?num=20&...22&btnG=Search

And only 8 results for ".php" pages:
    http://www.google.com/search?num=20&...22&btnG=Search

Edit: Michael, do you have ".html" pages at your site other than vBSEOed ones?

I get less with ".html" in the URL than I get with containing vbSEO:

    http://www.google.com/search?num=20&...%3A%22.html%22

(And most are my Stats pages, which have been around longer than vbSEO. )

Right, in your case it is (for the moment). But in Michael's case they have much more serps for inurl:".html" query (which appears to be a better way to get indexed pages number).

For myself I have 13,200 vbseo pages in Google and 81,900 in Yahoo now.

But it is worth to mention that for Google, your current PR is what set the limit of number of pages to get indexed and how fast the pages will get crawled, I believe.

I previously had about 50-60,000 pages indexed in Google but when I installed vBSEO I added nofollow for showpost and the number of pages decreased to 25,000. I have now optimized the showpost and removed nofollow so I guess number of pages will increase again.

The only pages i have installed on my server are vBulletin ones.
All of which are vB SEOed. I dont think that the methodology of checking for vB SEO pages is currently that accurate since i cant quite explain how i have 12,000 pages indexed and yet only 1/12 of those are vB SEO pages. Because i dont recall ever having 11,000 pages of other information, i installed vB SEO very early on in my forum lifecycle; before we reached 1,000 posts etc ...
