Collapsable Box - Category

Simple question.

You know the forum category things we have on our vbulletin boards.

Well if one was set for closed, instead of being open, meaning we can use the drop down arrows to open and close them, but if in it's initial state it's closed rather than open, would the content still be crawled, since it isn't blocked?
