i've found i'm way off too. i don't know how accurate it is, because i have no idea who else is contributing... and moreover, how they classify my site as compared to other sites.
I can't locate the enabling link:
In order to do this, select the option to share your Analytics data "Anonymously with Google and the benchmarking service" from the Edit Account and Data Sharing Settings page. To get to this page, click the link that says "Edit Account and Data Sharing Settings" from the Analytics Settings page (the first page you see after logging into your Google Analytics account).
it's a horrible location.
on the main splash page..
Analytics Settings - PROFILE NAME HERE (Edit Account and Data Sharing Settings)
on topic, i find it odd that since i've added the new tracking for member and guest visits, my bounce ratio has pretty much gone from 70% to 1%.
I think having 'guest' as a metric is screwing things up
Brian, looks like your visitors NEVER leave.. hah
well, i took out the 'guest' metric about noon today, and already my bouce rate is back heading to where it should be.
So, i guess analytics is a little flawed in the way they track their metrics.
I found this out today as i got the mail from Google Analytics about this i enable it now lets see what's up with this thing.
