70% leaving after 0-10 seconds

Another thread to my google-analytics-reports:

70% are leaving within the first 10 seconds.
How is it in your forums?

Analytics -> Visitors -> Visitor Loyalty -> Length of Visit

If I do it for the entire life of GPS Discussion, it's 56%.

60% lifetime

~ 55% for my Forum.

Is that the same as "Bounce Rate" or is that something slightly different.

It's different. The Bounce rate is "how many" and what I am asking here is "how fast".

Mine is about 50% for 0-10 seconds lifetime.

88.57% for 0-10 seconds

0-10 seconds = 23.32% over the last 12 months (that's as long as I've been running analytics).

~42% of all traffic in that time period has been SE (~21.5%) and Referring Sites (~20.5%) so it can't all be local traffic. I was surprised that the loyalty stats were that good, but I can't take any credit for it because I don't think it's a result of anything I've done intentionally.
