How can that be?

I also got 66,000 Google visits and 100 Yahoo visits last month.

Yahoo continues to treat user generated content significantly less favorably than Google.

yahoo takes a LONG time. I STILL have showthread style urls in yahoo... and i converted in june 2006.

Market share for browsers, operating systems and search engines

Google has 81% to Yahoo's 10%.

I know I am beating a dead horse but how can I have only 24 yahoo visits to 99,370 from Google?

And by the way, the 24 visits keywords were my site url. None were true keywords that people were actually searching for.

To determine that accurately we would need to collect data on all customers Google hits versus Yahoo hits, and then find out how much the difference in traffic exceeds what we would expect for "market share differences".

You might expect over 10,000 hits from Google if it followed the market share model.

However, I have seen many clients reporting very low traffic from Yahoo, even when they Google traffic is booming. I believe it is definitely related to a difference in evaluation of user generated content, possibly such as an "authoritative penalty", i.e. the belief that user generated content cannot be as good a source for info as article content published on niche sites, etc.

Last year in the same month I had 4,300 yahoo visits to 33,000 for Google
