[vbseo 3.5 RC2 PR] forum homepage aliases

Of course it was fine before vbulletin 4.0, but now things changed.

    So my setup is:
    domain.com/ [vbadvanced]
    domain.com/forum/ [vbulletin forum only]

In order to have a good setup of the homepage aliases on domain.com/forum/ i have to change vbulletin's vbroot/forum.php to vbroot/index.php and add a custom redirect: 'forum\.php$' => '/' via vbseo, because vbulletin has some hardcored links to vbroot/forum.php.

    Hello,

What exactly is your question? I'm not sure what you're asking here.

Basically more transparent handling of the forum homepage for forum-only setups. In case you do your tests with vbSuite, i would be great if you could do some tests with a native forum only setup.

I think it's possible to make the needed changes without altering any files.

What if you rename forum.php to index.php, then adjust the name in the vBulletin Options->Forum Home Page Options->Then edit the firsts one to index.

If you are talking about: vBulletin Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details -> Forum URL, it asks for forum URL path without any file (e.g index.php) or trailing slash. Otherwise it will probably mess some url paths.

If you are talking about: vbSeoCp -> SEO Functions -> Homepage Settings -> Define Homepage Aliases, i already have added the following there, but didn't help:
    index.php
    index.php?
    forum.php
    forum.php?

    Hi,

Mike is actually talking about vBulletin Options->Forum Home Page Options
    vbseo-forum-homepage-options.png

In there change the script name from "forum" for "index"
