I don't get any errors, and I'm using the default style.

No I do not get any errors - but if I disable VBSEO it works fine !

If I click on the image it is displayed in a new window instead of the lightbox frame...

you have attachments off for guests... so its hard to troubleshoot.

I have rc1 and vbseo on a new site, and i've just tested attachments and they work ok.

I registered a test account.

you're missing the
rel="Lightbox"

part on the link. are you sure it's turned on in the vb cp?

I will report, however, that attachment re-writes are not working in the light box. when double clicked (to take from lightbox to full screen) it turns

attachments/1d1206250116-pict0233.jpg
into
attachment.php?attachmentid=1&d=1206250116
for displaying the full size.

Yes, lightbox URLs are rewritten in the current dev build of vBSEO (and that will be supported in the next vBSEO release).

So the problem I have is actually an issue of vbseo ?

No, this is only related to URL rewrites, not lightbox misfunctioning.

I enabled attachments for guests - please check again !

Try to enable attachment URL rewrites or disable adding rel=nofollow to all dynamic URLs.

"disable adding rel=nofollow" fixed the problem
