Hello Michael, do you mean boardplanet.net? Seems like all member profiles are correctly rewritten to URLs like "/mitglieder/1084/". Did you changed URL format or does it get fixed somehow?

| Re: Usernames on forumhome aber not rewritten correctly VBSEO 3.1
I turned on rewriting of usernames for a short period yesterday and also saw this. It wasn't a constant bug, just intermittent. I chose a custom format of /members/userid-username.html I needed to use the userid as I we have some users who have daft usernames like $£€ or Тьма and these were causing problems, so the userid gives vbSEO a nice known entity to work with when rewriting and handling URL's. What I witnessed was that on my Who's Online footer... just 1 user didn't have the userid! so the file name came out as /members/-username.html which was then a broken link. I pressed refresh to save if I could repeat it... and all the links were fine. A few minutes later on another page (a showthread page) I noticed another link was broken. Again clicked refresh, again was fine. It seems that the userid is absent from some rewritten links, but the pattern for this I couldn't determine as I failed to reproduce it in any logical way. As I was only rewriting member links for shits and giggles (my member pages are kept private and not viewable by spiders) I just turned it off. But there is a problem there... and it may simply relate to userid's in custom rules. |
