Unable to save several settings after ugrade to vBulletin 4.2

Hello,

After I upgrade my vBulletin to 4.2, "Relevant Replacements" and "Linkbacks" settings are unable to save. They act like "not responding" everytime I tried to save the settings.

I've tried reinstall vBSEO several times, however this didn't solve the issue.

How to solve this problem?

Please make sure your config.xml file is writable. vBSEO don't depend on any vBulletin version to save your settings. So your claim abıout this started after 4.2.0 doesn't seems right. Please also check your error_log to see if there are any related errors.

My config.xml file is writable. Other settings are works correctly except "relevant replacements" and "linkbacks".

I've tried to reinstall vBSEO but still no luck.. :(

Do you have any old vBSEO function files located inside includes/ folder ?
Also do you use a custom config.php file on your forum ?

No, I don't use a custom config.php or have any old vBSEO function.

Good news : this issue solved by turning off mod_security on my server. I think this problem caused by mod_security protection.

By the way..is it safe to keep mod_security turned off on my forum?

I personally am never a fan of mod_security
