vBulletin 4.x Threaded Mode - Cause blank thread box on my site, entirely blank page on VBSEO

Switching to threaded mode while vbseo is enabled on my forum causes the threaded mode thread window to go blank, although the hybrid is OK.

On vbseo.com switching to threaded mode causes a completely blank page and you need to delete cookies and start again.

Can anyone help with this please?

VB 4.0.4, CentOS 5.2, VBSEO 3.5

Thanks. On my site this is now working for some threads but not others. It seems to be the long threads that don't work, eg:

New Site - To do's, wants and problems

On your site I still get a blank thread window when viewing this thread.

On a very long thread (2000+ replies). I just get a blank white page on threaded view, although normal views work fine. I wonder if this is actually a VB problem? I increased by maximum memory in php.ini to 128M, but this didn't help.

I can confirm that long threads are causing an issue with the latest fix. We will continue investigating this further.

I'm running vB 3.8.7 with vBSEO 3.6.0 and still do have this issue: In threaded mode regular users and guests (not logged in users) get a blank thread box in *some* threads while other threads are okay. Also, the thread box is showing all posts when I login as admin, even in the threads that otherwise do have this issue.

examples:
this thread has this issue in threaded mode: FDR's Mississippi River Inspection - Message Boards
and this doesn't: New Piston Rings - Message Boards

Oleg's PHP code change as descibed above doesn't make any difference unfortunately on my vB. Any ideas where to check for a potential problem causing this issue?

That indeed seams to make the difference.

Funny enough, there are other threads using the same special character (e.g. *New vessel 'smoke' fuel laws looming* - Message Boards ) where this issue doesn't appear.
