Thread merging doesn't recognise re-written URLs.

I've seen this bug listed as resolved elsewhere in the forums, but since I'm experiencing it with vBSEO 3.3.0 and vBulletin 3.8.x, I thought I'd post about it.

Basically, the Merge Thread moderation tool in vBulletin doesn't recognise rewritten URLs (in my case in the form "t[thread_id]-[thread_title]", though I'm sure it would fail to recognise most other rewrites as well). It generates the following error:

You have not specified a valid URL for the thread that you want to merge. Please check that the URL includes a valid threadid, "t=xxx" or postid, "p=xxx" (where xxx is a number), and is not a redirect.

There is a really easy work around for this, since any non-rewritten thread URL will work in Merge Thread. For example, grabbing the URLs from other tools such as Edit Thread or Move Thread will work. It would, however, be nice to see a more permanent fix. Thanks.

Make sure you are using the latest vBSEO version 3.3.0 . If you are running 3.3.0 please first check the following details

• You updated your .htaccess file with 3.3.0 .htaccess file content
• Try temporary disabling vBSEO to check if the issue is still there

and then create a support ticket with a brief explanation about how to reproduce the issue and please supply us admincp , ftp and vBSEO CP login information so we can check.
