    strange bug

before vbseo installed everything was fine..

Now let me explain problem on my fourm..it's a bit complex to explain..Hope you'll get it and guide me to proceed..

i've several sections in my forum..
some sections have subsections and some of them have subsections too..

subsection of some subsections are of similer name and after installing vbseo, similer named suubsection of some subsections are redirected to other subsection of similer name..

    example.
www.abc.com/xyz/pqr [which is shown as www.abc.com/pqr directly] redirects automatically to www.abc.com/stu/prq [which is shown as www.abc.com/pqr directly]

    any clues?
i've disabled vbseo from admincp-manage products but still same problem now..

    Hello Vitrag,

It seems like the reason that this is happening is because of the name of your forums. Based on how you described it, their is one for sure fix, and maybe another depending on if one is a category or not. You can add the forumid into the URL, and that will avoid all conflict that way. Your second (that may or may not work depending on if they are both non-category forums) is you can setthe Direct Category Links option to yes.

It would a setting in your vbseocp. Go to URL Settings, then click on the + arrow to show more options. Then under Forum Path you can define it like: [forum_title]-[forum_id]/ or end it in a .html, what ever you would like.

The second option would work if you had it for a category, and then a subforum. Reason being a category with that option turns into #category-name rather then category-name. But like I said, that will only work if one is a category and the other is a forum for posting.

I dont think it is possible..
If you have 2 similar forum names you need to add the forum id to forum names or do not keep 2 forums with similar names.

    Future is correct.

All forums, regardless of their parent, need to be 100% unique if you do NOT include the forum ID in the path.
