Ok apparently there is a bug in the most recent version. If a user enters, for example,
my '59 Apache(new post)
as a thread title, there is an infinite redirect and a blank page shows. Any suggestions? I tried it without paranthesis and it worked.

Your test post here seems to be working ok.
What are you using for character replacement options and url preset?

I believe I'm using the defaults.. Settings are
Current Preset: 001 - Hierarchic .html type URLs with content relevant forums and threads (Default Settings)
Define Separator for URL Parts: [-]
Limit URL Length: 8
Thread: [forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html
So a typical URL for a thread would be
http://.../forums/mod-discussions/29200-killed-sisters-laptop.html
etc.
This has to be an obscure bug.
The Following titles all work FINE
hello (testing)
my '59 Apache
my '99 test thread
my 'happy test thread (hello)
the '345 test thread (hey)
the '22 test thread (hey you)
the '22 Apache thread (hey you)
th '22 Apache thread (hey you)
DOES NOT WORK:
my '29 Apache (new post)
th '22 Apache thread (new post)
think i got it (new post)
The firefox error when POSTING the thread isHowever it does actually create the thread. When a user tries to click on the thread title, they get the same error above. The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
AHA! It has something to do with the words (new post) in the title in parentheses!!! Why would that be? Hopefully I helped find a tiny bug.
You can try changing your 'go to new post' url to something else, like -np.html instead of -new-post.html at the end.
Since these 301 to the true desitnation and are only shown for members/logged in, there is no seo penatly involved with this change.

Wouldn't that cause the same problem if a user entered (np) at the end of their title?
yes, but it's far more unlikely.
I personally use /new/ since there's no way a user can ever make a directory out of a title.
