Outbound Trackbacks not working with edit thread.

It seems that outbound trackbacks don't send or save with edit thread.

When I change or enter an outbound trackback using edit thread it does not send and when I go back into edit thread it is blank.

It seems to work for me - I just added outgoing trackback for this thread successfully.

Well, it's not working for me.

Where are they saved at? Is it a directory that needs a CHMOD setting?

It is stored in database ("linkback" table). Are trackbacks working correctly when new thread is created? (instead of "edit thread")

Yes. I noticed an incorect trackback url someone posted that failed. So I deleted it, went and found the correct url and now it won't take. So yes, this happened after deleting the original.

I see you mark as deleted with thread id. So that may interfere with edit thread.

I would suggest in future versions you add an option in ACP to edit outbound links.

Ah, yes, that is the case - when you delete trackback in admincp, it is marked as deleted, so it is not registered again when you re-enter it in "edit thread".

That's not intuitive since it does not state that and there is the option to add one in edit thread.

So a better way is to have an ACP edit feature and also have the thread edit overide the existing one in the database no matter what it's status.

How does it determin a succesful pingback? They always say no. Though I have only done a few.

It expects the corresponding response from the target server (it is assumed to be successful when no "faultCode" element is found within a response).

So it's not dependent on the other site authorizing the trackback then.

Does the resend button actually work? I ask because the date doesn't change.

Yes, it resends trackbacks - original timestamp is unchanged and only the status field is changed in case of success.
