Odd redirect behaviour after newreply/quickreply

vbb: 4.04p1 (CMS/Blog disabled)
vbseo version: 3.5.1
standard nginx rewrite rules from docs
vbseo rules: (all defaults no custom)

right after posting (both quick and advanced reply and advanced edit but not quickedit) in any multiple page thread, the URL on the browser appears like this:

http://sgcafe.com/talk-cock-sing-son...ml#post6675602

which is the first page of the thread, then it will refresh itself after 2-3 seconds to
http://sgcafe.com/showthread.php?p=6675602

which is the correct place it is supposed to be after posting (location of the newpost).

the board was migrated from vb3 recently. disabling vbseo removes this odd redirect behaviour. this behaviour also happens in the default stock vb4 template

any ideas?

This is likely due to pagination. Do you use a different pagination than the board default on your profile?

nope happens even in the default 4.04p1 skin, default pagination. the vbseo files are also stock

I will flag this for Oleg. I have minimal exposure with nginx.
