Linkback Display Below Thread Points to Its Own URL

I think there's a bug with the Linkback display. Take this thread, for instance:

Look at the bottom and hover over the Posted By link (Volconvo Debate Forums). You can see that its title is about Canine searches and it links to Volconvo.com. Click on the For (This thread) and it's a link to the page you're already on. Where is the link to the place the thread is actually referenced from? and why do we need a link to the page we're already on?

This is a refback from your homepage:

http://volconvo.com/

since volconvo.com is not the same domain as www.volconvo.com, it is considered as external link and registered as refback.

And why is that not a bug? Also, why is there a link to the page we're already on, anyway? Finally, is there some way I can modify vB SEO so it doesn't show links from the homepage?

You should use a .htaccess directive to force all your users to www.yourdomain.com, then they will always match.
