Follow-up: if I momentarily disable VBSEO the thread comes up with no problems:

Tried that, it didn't seem to fix it. Should I try putting some of those characters in the stop words list? If so, how? Do I need to preceed some of them with \?

I had problems with the / character in thread titles, putting \/ in the stop words list took care of that.

Thanks, your support is great, and I'll be getting vbSEO for our other VBulletin installations once I work out these issues.

This is strange. I have posts with $ and # put in them all the time, vbseo strips those characters out all the time.

Okay, its not a bug. Turns out the new settings were not getting refreshed due to php accellerator caching them.
