likes/share feature :: share links (inside the hover layer) not showing properly in blogs and cms

I've got a weird error here which happens on my default and custom skin. I have a few plugins running but hardly anything major (test board, not live)


Blog error: All custom defined bookmark icons are showing without text.



cms error: all text is missing and icons 3 and 4 are hidden, or behind the element below.


threads error: (no screenshot) If you use more than 4 bookmark icons then these become obscured behind the element below on posts without signatures (z-index?)

I have reverted my vbseo_buttons.css template and have not modified any blog or cms templates at all.

I can't seem to reproduce any of them. Share buttons are loading perfect in vBSEO.com blogs : [How-to] Move .htaccess rules into httpd.conf from WHM - Blogs - vBulletin SEO Forums and as you can share buttons again load perfectly correct on this thread with 6 icons

Ok.... I understand what you are saying but with respect I rather doubt this site uses the default skin and I am sure you have many plugins running.

To troubleshoot this, I have disabled EVERY plugin except vBSEO, CMS and Blogs and have tested this on an unmodified default skin with the same results. I have also enabled all four 'built in' bookmarks to demonstrate the issue (at least with blogs) is the custom bookmarks.

I am sure my bookmark syntax is correct, but could you maybe check as I dont know hat else could be wrong.

Just so you know, I've just come to report the same issue on a live board...

MumsOnline - Where Parents Talk <-- CMS article that the "like" button works fine, but "share" hover shows a broken image for Facebook, and neither Facebook or Twitter are clickable.

Fantastic family breaks with red funnel this half-term for under £100 plus kids travel for free! <-- the original forum post that was promoted to article that works fine.

The broken Facebook image points to: http://www.mumsonline.net/images/vbseo/facebook.gif (which I've just added to fix the break) but the Twitter image points correctly to http://www.mumsonline.net/vbseo/reso...um/twitter.png

Why when importing the product would one aspect of the "share" function import correctly (the Twitter) and one break (the Facebook)?

Facebook image location is customizable , you can update it to your like.

I fixed the broken image by simply adding it to the location it was looking for so that is resolved, it doesn't resolve the issue with the broken share link on CMS or blogs though.

I changed to your example and the broken hover now says Facebook in the hover, but it still is not clickable - Twitter is still blank as well.

EDIT TO ADD:
Disregard... Your fix for Facebook made the hover clickable on CMS/Blogs - it didn't appear before I made the above post because of the cache... Twitter on the other hand is still blank and unclickable. I do not see where I can edit that code as it is a toggle within the CP...

There is a new parameter added in 3.6, as mert outlines above.

You need all parts in the comma list, or you will have wrong things showing in the wrong places.

I am running 3.6 RC1 and the like/share buttons work a treat in forums with no problems at all - it is in the CMS where it broke and I didn't add any custom code - everything that was insitu was from previous installs which I'm assuming is the problem since I imported pre-3.6 RC1 settings?

Anyway, I added

to the custom bookmark settings and untoggled the tick box for Twitter and it now works in CMS/Blogs/Forums.

Yes, any old custom rules need to be upgraded manually.

I hate to say it guys, but this issue is not resolved in rc1 :(

However, it is fixed in blogs..... just the CMS is weirding out

tried the new url - still no image showing. The images too the extra bookmarks
that are uncommented do not work either.

does anyone have a list of bookmark urls, other then what is in default?
