I'm extremely disappointed....

I'm extremely disappointed that a few hours after installing vbseo 3.5.2 that I have to go searching to find why some things are suddenly broken. I find that one item was reported on 21-10-2010 here....

4.0.8 + vbseo bug on profile friend list

but a fix has not made it into the version of vbseo I downloaded yesterday 05-11-2010.

I have applied this and find it's suddenly not working. Would this also be due to vbseo?

It looks like a fix was given in that thread and the permanent bug fix will show up in the next release. Kinda like how vB does it...

We only apply to download packages bug fixes that requires inmediate attention, like security holes. On minor bugs, like the first one, we make available a fix until next vBSEO version.

Regarding the another thing, you are using vBulletin 4.x.x and that add-on is designed for vBulletin 3.8.x. If it still works with vBulletin 4.x.x, please note that we can't assure that vBSEO will be compatible with all of the add-ons available on vBulletin.org. You may find a better response if you contact the creator of the plugin.

We don't make so many releases like vBulletin. When we make a new vBSEO version all previous found bugs are integrated to that version and we don't constantly update vBSEO packages because a small bug is found. Currently a new vBSEO version is being developed and all bugs that have been found within vBSEO 3.5.2 version will be included in next vBSEO version.

Ok. However I think it would be courteous of you and advantageous to your customers to let them know of known issues maybe in a file included with the product.

We gladly would do that, but please keep in mind that the majority of the vBSEO bugs are reported by the customers after each release. We make each new vBSEO version available until it has passed ours quality assurance process.

If there's any kind of bug/issue that needs to be known by our customers, we will let you know within our release announcement.
