Homepage redirect loop after installing vbseo

I just purchased and installed vbseo and my homepage is getting stuck in a redirect loop. All the other pages seem to work just fine. I've disabled vbseo for the time being.

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Please make sure GARS support is disabled if you are not using gars.

If that doesn't fix it, please open a ticket with login details so we can troubleshoot futher.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm new your software and to vbulletin software. Where do I check to see if GARS is disabled?

    Brian,

I'm on that exact page and I've checked Basic Settings and Advanced Settings and I don't see anything mention GARS support. I've even performed a search on my browser trying to find "GARS". Haha, what am I missing?

Sorry about that. I was looking at my vb3 instance. This is not there in vb4.

Check your URL Rewrites for the CMS section.

Specifically, you want to set your CMS HOME option to http://www.yourdomain.com/ (WITH the trailing slash). That may fix the issue.
Also, make sure you've uploaded the htacess file.

I had the htaccess file uploaded to my vbulletin root, but I didn't edit the file. Am I supposed to change the instances of "yourdomain" to my actual domain?

    Are the CMS settings correct?

yes, change yourdomain to your actual domain name. Put it in the CMS HOME option (3rd down).

Thanks, I had originally done that when I first installed vbseo but still had this error so I changed it back. I've updated the htaccess file, but I'm unsure of what I'm supposed to place in the CMS Home field. In custom field I tried a few things: left it blank, put in a /, put in http://www.mydomain.com/ and tried content.php

When I enabled vbseo the home page worked, but all my forums and the blog tab forwarded to the home page. *sigh*
