/forum urls resolving to /forum/forum

Just installed vBSEO-- looks good so far. I've encountered a problem that I'm assuming isn't a bug, just an error on my end. Some of my /forum urls are resolving to /forum/forum. For example, on this page: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/nitr...ick-66896.html , clicking the "Next Thread" link leads to this url: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/foru...rse-66995.html .

Ideas?

Hello Jonathan!

It's great to have you onboard

Could you please post (or PM) a backup of your .XML settings file?

Although I see an inconsistency in the format of your threads vs. the format of your thread redirects (next, prev, last, etc.), I think this might be a bug.

Juan

Re: /forum urls resolving to /forum/forum

hmm... the file seems to be corrupted. that leads me to think your config_vbseo.php file might be corrupted (or the vbseo_cp.php file)

Did you upload everything using binary mode?

try:
1. re-uploading everything in binary mode (making sure there are no duplicates of the functions_vbseo.php file anywhere)
2. enabling 'RewriteBase /forum' in your .htaccess file
3. verifying your 'Forum URL' settings within admincp (must be 'http://www.hotroders.com/forum')

If the above doesn't work, please email me a copy of your (already modified) config_vbseo.php

Re: /forum urls resolving to /forum/forum

--I unzipped the file on my server, then moved the files to the proper directories, so it shouldn't be the binary upload issue.

--I had seen the RewriteBase suggestion in the troubleshooting file, adding that did not make a difference.

--I verified http://www.hotrodders.com/forum is listed as the 'Forum URL' option

Grabbing the XML settings file via the admin control panel spawned a new browser window, rather than a file download. I cut-and-pasted the XML text out of the browser and into a text editor, and saved it and uploaded it to this thread. It's probably the macintosh line-ending characters from the text editor that are causing it to be considered corrupted. Here's another copy, let me know if you can view it.
