    Error Messages from vbseo.php

    Okay this has been a issue for a while and now me and my hosting co are starting to look more into why vbseo is using so much resources.

    The error log shows this error.

    PHP Fatal error: Cannot create references to/from string offsets nor overloaded objects in functions_vbseo_hook.php on line 111
    So maybe someone can help us work this out...pls

    First thing first , you are using an outdated software on your sites. You should always use latest released vBSeo versions.

    That error has nothing to do with any load problems. If you are having load problems , you should

    Please supply us a phpinfo file link , vBSEO Control Panel password and answer the following questions please


    1. Please supply us your server specifications
    2. Is this a dedicated server , shared hosting or Virtual Private Server
    3. What are your online user + guest count with 15 minute cookie timeout
    4. What was your load levels average prior to vBSEO installation and what are your current load levels

    I'll get the answers - and I'll look at upgrading - though I don't share your assumption that you should always use the latest thats simply nonesense all too often the latest are full of bugs and vunreabilities much better to stay away from the latest and keep to a more stable robust version in my view.

    Secondly - I will not give out any access to anyone since the last time I did this the persons pc wasn't secure and it resulted in my site being hacked.

    There are known bugs in older versions of our software which is why we always recommend running the latest version.

    If you can't/won't supply information, there is nothing we can really do to assist you.

    Ok I'm using vbseo version vBSEO 3.6.0 RC 2 as far as I can find this is the latest version.

    We are about to upgrade to one off the latest version of VB soon, sorry we cannot give out server access. Its just not worth the hassel when it goes wrong twice I gave out info and twice infected machines gave out our access info and we then had to rebuild from scratch.
