Custom URL rewrite without ID doesn't work

Hi,

If I have custom URL rewrite rules for sections or categories, it seems that the links do not work properly unless if I add section/category ID to the rule, e.g. custom rule:
section/[section_title]/
doesn't work but rule:
section/[section_id][section_title]/
does work. I just try to beautify the URL's without having the ID's in the URL since I don't really have to worry about section/category naming clashes.

Unfortunately, section ID's are required in order to function properly.

By any chance is there any plans to fix this?

It's not 'broken'. It's by design.

right...

At least there's an indication this will be fixed: Have sections just as domain.com/[section_name]
(Even if it's not considered a bug, it's currently an inconsistent design decision; other settings, like categories, work without IDs.)

This is in the works for RC3.
