    Currently Active Users

    Hi,

I noticed since installing VBSEO 3.3.0 (and now 3.3.1) that currently active users is incorrect.

All logged in users are shown being on the "index"/forum home (or a / in the sessions table) page. While all guests correctly show their location.

Also members in the arcade, viewing whois online, or other sections of the site that are not re-written correctly show their location.

To test I disabled VBSEO temporarly to not mod-rewrite links, locations of users correctly appeared.

    Software:
    PHP 5.2.10
    Nginx 0.7.x
    APC
    Mysql 5.0.x

This is still an issue for me.

Looking into it, it appears if something is being reloaded or a new request or something redirecting the user back to the index.

I had a test user account visit a page and stay on it, initially it was right and then it just changed on its own and doesn't want to change back.

    Disabling VBSEO fixes this immediately.

Can somebody offer some advice where to start to trouble shoot this?

It looks like you have a missing image or a file on your index. Make sure you have all recalled images and files on place.

Yup, I think Mert is on the right track. Due to the way 404's are handled with vbseo, anything that is missing as an 'included' file/image/etc, will send a 404 header.

But, I just ran both your sites with firebug and didn't see anything hanging.

try setting up a custom 404 page, and with it set it to not include the login stuff.

    main info:
Create a Custom vBulletin "404 Page Not Found" Page, and direct vBSEO to use it.

    Okay i set it up.

I visit a 404 page and it doesn't update the users location in currently active users to that information.

I just noticed today and last night, that it shows the information correctly at first then refreshing quickly it shows it being at index. And it is only happening to logged in members, guests are fine.

    Any more ideas?

    Okay sorry about that...

    I took out define('SKIP_SESSIONCREATE', 1);

because i realized i wanted to see the person creating the 404.

Its still saying im looking at the index despite being on the 404.
