    conflict with vBadvanced link urls

I'm running vBadvanced links directory, with the files in my /links directory: http://www.hotrodders.com/links.

After installing vbseo, links in my vBadvanced links directory are now defaulting to the /forum directory and are being picked up by vbseo. For example, on my vBadvanced links directory home page at http://www.hotrodders.com/links, the url for the Engine Information category is: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/browselinks.php?c=13 . However, prior to installing vbseo, the url was displayed as: http://www.hotrodders.com/links/browselinks.php?c=13 .

I've checked my vBadvanced settings, and the url to the links directory is correctly set at http://www.hotrodders.com/links.

Temp fix: create an .htaccess file in your /links folder that has off instead of on for the rewrite engine part.

(take the one from the vbseo download and strip everything but that top part from the file, and change it to off.)

Thanks for the suggestion kall, but I don't think that will do it. This looks like more of a display issue, where everything that is reliant on certain vb settings is listing /forum as the base url.

I can put in a RewriteRule in the /forum .htaccess file to rewrite the vBadvanced urls to the /links directory. However, there will be a conflict because some of the /links files have the same names as some of the /forum files (index.php, misc.php, search.php). I could also use a RewriteCond line to detect the referring script and push the request to /forum or /links depending on that.

vBadvanced has just released a new version, 1.0.1, which uses a separate admin and mod cp, and is less dependent upon vb. That might do the trick?
