Archive links broken

Using vbseo 2.3.1 with vbulletin 2.4.5 all links to threads in the archive are rewritten to one link to the forum home. Apparently this is fixed in the newer versions of vbseo but we can't get that to work on our server configuration. I've seen other mentions of this problem but the threads are closed and the solution is not outlined. Can someone offer a solution to this problem that will work with 2.3.1? Otherwise it looks like we're screwed.

Replied to your support ticket earlier. I'll send you the links for vBSEO 2.4.5 now also, which should correct the issue.

We couldn't get vBSEO 2.4 to work because of an issue with Zend Optimizer. In spite of following all the directions and and updating the optimizers it never worked. Does 2.4.5 address those issues?
