The side bar, as I believe, is a really easy modification of FORUMHOME template.
You can get it at vBulletin.org if you dont want to implement vbadvanced modules on index for example.

    I have a question please.

You'll be releasing the style with a link in the footer certainly.
I made a style like this one (colours, h1 in header, custom navbar.. etc..) all by myself.

So if I use the skin I made on my client's board, he may have problems?

Designs or styles that emulate vBSEO are not of concern to us, as long as our official offerings are not modified and/or re-distributed. If you designed a style similar to vBSEO, feel free to use it without issue.

Update: The skin along with extra supporting plugins has been provided to the vBSEO Pre-Release Team for evaluation.

What are the extra support plugins for? and how long does it take to 'test', you shoulda released a open 'beta' test off it. that way testing would have been completed sooner.

and can any pre-release team show some demos/examples..?

When testing, assuming that forum root was domaine.com/forum, when vbadvanced pages were displayed, links on the top green bar were like : domaine.com/register.php >> blank pages

    Cause:
    HTML Code:
     <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="register.php$session[sessionurl_q]" rel="nofollow">$vbphrase[register]</a></td>
    Solution :
Using vbadcanced header replacements, links will be prefixed with the forum url. (by default, only navbar repleacements are used)

Or prefix those filenames manually in the template
    HTML Code:
    <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="$vbulletin>options['bburl']/register.php$session[sessionurl_q]" rel="nofollow">$vbphrase[register]</a></td>
I'm sure that you already resolved this kind of problems
    vbseo, doesnt use vbadvanced..?

We do have vBA installed here, although not widely used.

Our pre-release team is where we do all of our beta testing. They are a large group of experienced users. We have many thousands of customers. We cannot take the risk of releasing something that could contain bugs that would be detrimental to their forum. For this reason, all testing goes through our pre-release team first. This prevents many bugs (especially significant ones) from getting out to our customers.

Note: We are running the new skin here. Any pre-release team member who has installed it may volunteer to post a link here. Keep in mind that they may not be doing any customizations during their test installation, so it will look very much like what you see here in most instances.

The plugins are for some assorted changes that we've made for usability with our style. Further details will be provided when the skin is officially released.

We do not place time limits on testing. We conclude testing when the pre-release team member consensus is that it is ready for release, and all issues they reported are fully corrected, and re-verified.

Thats what I like to hear. Now if only contractors worked the same way.
It may be best to not listen to anything I say for advice. :spin:

Not to take anything away from contractors, because there are some fantastic firms and individuals out there filling huge needs for all kinds of different businesses.

However, a contractor's motivation is to complete a project on time and on budget, with the best quality that can be achieved within those restrictions.

As a company developing a software product, our goals are different. We will be continuing the development and support of our product for as far into the future as our product continues to fulfill a need for our customers.

So, while contractors race towards completion, we just continually seek a better quality product for our customers. Time lines are still very important, but not at the expense of that quality standard.
