Short meta description with tags

I would like to know how to edit " Threads tagged with" to create a longer meta description for the tags. I have the tags not going to the sitemap, but google is still picking up many tags pages just going through my site. I have edited the tags search template with the "Threads_tagged_with_x_title" and nothing has changed so I'm obviously missing something. thanks!

There really isn't a fix for this. Any other bloat you put in will simply end up throwing "duplicate meta tags" warnings.

Note, these are WARNINGS, not errors. They are designed by google to let you know that you generally should have more terms in there. But, when the tag is only one or two words, having a short meta area is the true result.

Yup I agree 100%. Playing with tags here isn't a good idea. Also, one would want to make sure that view source of pages come up correctly with no dups.
