After doing some research, some deep breathing, and mild soul-searching, I took the plunge and bought vbSEO this week. But I'm very nervous about uploading and implementing it. I (perhaps niavely) thought that vbSEO was essentially an "invisible" mod that would improve the site's profile from the perspective of search engines but would change the look of the site at all. But the more I read, the more I find references to template changes. (I was kind of throw/confused when I got to the DOWNLOADS page when it had an option for a skin download because I thought that vbSEO would just be opterating in the background.)
I have a site with some heavily modified templates, plus a heavily modified classifieds section and a blog that's been tweaked, too. I haven't changed ANY php files anywhere, just rearranged a great variety of little things in various templates.
I'm very nervous about uploading vbSEO. I want to improve my site, not break it.
My site is not fully live yet, but can be seen here: SterlingKitCars.com - Powered by vBulletin
I'm rather in a quandry right now because I just spent the money, and now I don't know if I want to take the risk of seeing what it does to a modded site.
Can anyone tell me in very general terms what visible templates are changed by implementing vbSEO. By looking at my site, can you make any predictions what things would change. Would anything new show up in the nav bars, etc. Will it screw up my "Car Showcase"/classifieds section. I know that's a very nebulous, generic question. But what does vbSEO actually visibly change? I can't really find a reference to that question, so I thought I'd jsut ask it outright.
Thanks in advance for any wisdom anyone can impart. I do appreciate it.
