Well if you have vbseo 3.1, it will automatically do this.

i don't see how removing counts will help.
its pretty easy to tell if the forum has 2 people on it or not
It's effect would likely be a little more significant as the forum starts to grow, with enough users posting that is would be difficult to instantly determine the level of activity just by browsing a few threads.
But, you're right, with only a few members it would have almost zero impact.
Just do add in comment , since I removed the forum stats on the forumhome for the Guest & all non admin members, visistors are staying online longuer and check much regulary the forum. On small forums like mine it has a good impact removing theses stats, its only good to be displayed when you do have a very large forum to me that sounds like, "hey look at my very active forum".
I was going to do this then i remembered, I got over 2 million posts.
I think it's better idea to increase the Session Timeout depending on how much traffic you have, I have average (now) 1k a day and I set Session Timeout to 2500 so I have average 80 guests and 10-15 users online.
I'm quite sure guests will NOT look at Session Time, or you can simply disable to guest viewing what witch user is doing, so they can only see how many users+guests there are online.
Coming into this a tad late, but I wanted a say.
Personally, I don't look how many members a forum has. If the forum interests me, and I feel the content is good, then I'll join. If no one was to sign up with a forum with a low number of members, then how is a forum going to even start up?

Many forums actually create dummy accounts and start posting by themselves, or use a paid posting service, or simply create a bunch of content and invite "friends" they have established while participating in other forums or social networks. Their initial interest and posting activity can help to get things started and build momentum.
Other times the content is just so great that it would not matter how many other members or active posters there were. If you can pull this off, you have a winner.![]()
Yes, I agree if the content is very good, then you are going to get more members. In the next couple of months, I'm having an homepage, that will be heavily modified -- with all the latest tech news going down the page, not to forget other little features, such as a "Weekly Poll". Hopefully, writing daily tech news, and bringing all the latest downloads will attract members.

Check out the demos of this product. I just saw it yesterday, but it looks pretty good:

That looks pretty good, certainly excellent for writing news stories.
I probably think I will still have the news page coded, as I want new posts to display down the homepage, contentteller.

I implemented these template edits on a test forum. I did it manually as the "Template Modification System" seemed like a pain to figure out in 30 seconds or less.
You might want to add steps on how to import the TMS XML file.![]()
I know this thread is old, but I had a quick question. I see in VBseo where you can remove the last post section, but I dont see an option to remove thread/post counts. Am I missing that somewhere, or is that not an option in vbseo, and I need to do that manually?
thanks,
No the current option only removes the last post column.
