Breadcrumbs at the foot of a forum thread simply lead to error messages - remove these by going to the SHOWTHREAD template, and removing the following code: Quote:

Well, they don't lead to any errors here on vbseo forums. And they work on my forums as well. The only limitation is of course if there is no newer thread, and you click "Next Thread".

All I get with "Previous Thread | Next Thread" is: Quote:
A waste of a link to anywhere, hence why good to remove (they were good to remove without mod_rewrite, simply to try to minimise duplciate content issues). |

I don't even get the Next Thread link if there is no next thread... ie: There are no problems with it for me whatsoever. |

Odd, that - in Firefox I can see it on the vbSEO site replete with dead link - just above the QuickReply box. No one else see that??

Do you mean a "There are no threads newer than the previous one." message? If so, it is not a dead link, but a vB feature

These links are likely to be seldom used, but they function as designed. If you are in the newest thread, you cannot therefore go to the next newest thread, right? I saw some way to make the links have the Thread Titles instead of generic links, which actually would probably be a good thing? Maybe? |
