Installing vbportal and new templates

I just installed vbSEO and the process was very simple and smooth. Running vb 3.7 b5.

Now I need to install vbportal and a custom skin for vbportal that I've been working on.

What is involved in this process since it seems like vbSEO install affected the existing templates on the forum.

1) Should I uninstall vbSEO then install vbportal along with the custom skin (vbportal installs a new skin set which includes additional templates for the portal). Then reinstall vbSEO?

2) Or is there a way to leave vbSEO installed and install vbportal and the custom skin?

3) Also, what is the process for installing a new skin if down the line I want to change the look or offer additional skins for the users.

I obviously want whatever changes that were made to the templates from the vbSEO install to carry over to the vbportal custom templates once I install vbportal/templates.

Thank you

Hello,

vBSEO doesn't change your templates (all on-page content modification is applied on-the-fly), so you can keep vBSEO enabled and install vBPortal.

but it seems like vbSEO added some templates to the default template that I am currently running on the site. If I go to Edit Templates it shows a list of templates under vbSEO templates...looks like some blog related templates?

If I install vbportal and use their templates, wouldn't it be missing these vbSEO templates?

Thanks

vBSEO installs own templates, but doesn't modify existing ones.

so what would be involved in adding these vbSEO templates to the vbportal style?

vbportal uses its own style that is installed when vbportal is installed. wouldn't i have to make sure the additional vbseo templates are added to this new vbportal style?
