How to put a google ad in first post?

How to put a google adsense ad inside the first post?

I saw on another forum (software) and it looked liked a post-it note, that was very neat. It was located to the right with the text surrounding it.

I want to do the same for guests, not members. That is easily solved with a condition. It doesnt have to be a post-it note but just a standard ad.

As default I have ads under nav bar and under last post on a page. So inside first post would be my next step.

Any hints how to make it nice and neat? The text appears under the ad and not besides it? I tried to align it to right but still appears under the ad.

You are using the "ad_showthread_firstpost_start" template ?

To float your advert to the right, and make the text in the post wrap around it,
try something like this:

Over the years I used 2 leaderboards, one under navigation and one at the end of the page.

As I couldnt figure out how to do a floating ad inside first post I am currently testing 2 big rectangle ads (300x250) under nav bar. (For guests only, for members its same as before, just two leaderboards)

I wonder, have you tried 2 rectangles before vs leaderboard+ad inside first post? Whats your experience?

The only drawback is when those rectangles has the same image ad, doesnt look very pretty. So I am considering using text only for the second one.
