Question Hide/disable social bookmarks in private forums

My flooring forum has a number of private forums. Having members, especially those who are not familiar with the concept of social bookmarks, Digging a post or topic that is private can't be a good thing. How to I prevent the social bookmarks from appearing in the private forums?

And has anyone devised a code that will allow me to have the bookmark icons appear in the head of a topic without being in a track-back drop-down? I don't have track-backs enabled, but I would still like only to have social bookmarks for the thread only.

    Thanks for any help.

good suggestion. I think this should be put into the next build as a feature

"Disable social links in private forums?"

as a work around, i don't think it will be possible without editing the source file, since its created/attached to the hook

Bummer, without a work-around, I'd have to disable this. I have far too much traffic in my private forums and I couldn't keep those members from clicking those links.

I was just thinking about this the other day when I looked at what people were digging.
It may be best to not listen to anything I say for advice. :spin:
