A Drop Rather than Increase - What did I do wrong?

    This is confusing me

VBSEO was installed on Oct 3 and while the number of spiders has increased greatly there has been a decrease in the position on the google search engine (using Tablet PC). In turn, organic traffic is decreasing steadily. For almost a year, the site was between 12-15 and now the site moves between 18-24. A report shows registration is down from last year, too.

I have checked validity of xhtml, keyword density, links, etc. A new server was provisioned. I bought more Google adwords, too. What did I do wrong to cause this drop in keyword position, traffic and registration?

What would you do to fix this site so that the investment in vbseo was/is worthwhile? Things seemed to have been better off without the software so I need to justify the expense. I must not be using the software settings correctly. They are mainly at the default. :(

It's common for an initial drop. Stay the course. We have seen people get into a panic and start changing settings, which only makes things worse.

Thank you for the reply. I just hope that I did not install something wrong.

If your forum is working, you didn't install anything wrong.

    it's only been a month.

    stay the course.

SEO is not an over-night process.

I'm going on 6-months waiting on yahoo... they still have my old URL's.
thankfully, google picked me up very soon

Only a month since installing the vbseo but the site has been around for a long time.

    stay the course.
I am getting very nervous. The site continues to drop.

About three years ago, I paid the 300 plus dollars for Yahoo to look at Tablet PC Questions and they rejected listing the site. This is when I discovered that there services were pretty much useless.
