    There is a hack on vb org that alerts you if anyone tries gaining access to admin cp. It send you an email with the name used and IP of the attacker. Not hard to install either.

    I just tried looking for the hack and either I'm going blind or silly, but cant find it at present. And I cant find the version on my hard drive either

    I found it easier to just add password protection on the admin folder (via cPanel) than renaming it.
    I'm using vbSEO for my precious metals forum.

    That wont help you. I'd suggest doing both the password and the renaming.

    ps. renaming a file, and adding that name to the config.php takes less then 1 min really.
