    Zoints to vbSEO

I recently purchased vbSEO. However, I've had Zoints for several months and have some pages indexed.

I'm going to lose all these aren't I?

How can I check to see how many pages are indexed?

Advice? Bite the bullet and switch now for better long term gain?

    Hello Michael ,

Did you redirect your old indexed urls to vbseo format ?
If not please add the following lines just after RewriteEngine On line within .htaccess

    Code:
    RewriteRule ^[^/]+f([0-9]+)(p([0-9]+))?\.html$ vbseo.php?vbseourl=forumdisplay.php&f=$1&page=$3 [L]
    RewriteRule ^[^/]+t([0-9]+)(p([0-9]+))?\.html$ vbseo.php?vbseourl=showthread.php&t=$1&page=$3 [L]

I disabled Zoints for starters. I then followed all the vBSEO instructions.

The links changed to what I preferred. But all the pages come back 404 File Not FOund.

EVERY PAGE!!! What am I doing wrong?

That didn't work, one of my indexed pages that I just checked still came back invalid URL.

    Hi everybody

I need to upgrade our forum ( Mondo3.com - Forum - Telefonia mobile 3G in Italia - Area di discussione su 3, l'UMTS, i gestori, i telefoni ) from VBB 3.6.x to 3.7.0, and at the same time I would like to migrate to vbSEO.

We are running zointsSEO at the moment, so I need first to disable it and then to install vbSEO.

I am trying to do it in the cleanest way possible, so I stumbled on this thread.

So what should I do? Just edit the .htaccess file adding the lines you put on the 2nd post of this thread? What else should I watch out?

Here is the current content of our .htaccess file:

    Code:
    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule ^([a-z0-9_\-]*-(f|all)[0-9]+(p[0-9]+|/index[0-9]*)?\.html)$ forumdisplay.php/$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^([a-z0-9_\-]*-(t|p)[0-9]+(p[0-9]+|/index[0-9]*)?\.html)$ showthread.php/$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(index\.php|\.css) [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(archive|sitemap)/(.*)$ $1/index.php/$2 [QSA,L]

    Thank you in advance

    Hello Fabrizio ,

In order to switch from zoints to vBSEO there are two options you can follow.

    1. You can redirect all your old zoints url's to vBSEO format
    2. You can prepare vBSEO rewrite rules so that they will match Zoints Seo format.

well I believe that the simplest way would be just to set a redirect from zoints URLs and "forget" it, and then just configure vbSEO the way we need it.

If I understand it correctly, I should just point the "old" rewritten URLs to the vbseo.php file with the correct parameters, right?

I didn't see that one, just because I am not yet your customer

(that link tells me I am not enabled to see that forum)

I believe I will begin with buying vbSEO, then I will start experimenting

(edit: whoops your reply already disappeared :P)
