Zend Optimizer - How do I know what version my Host is running ?

How do I know if the lastest version of Zend Optimizer is installed on my Host ?

I have requested for my Host to upgrade Zend Optimizer to the latest version which they told me they did instantly.

within the phpinfo() the Optimizer is reported as being v2.6.2

This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:

Is there a way to check what version of Zend Optimizer my host is running ?
Is there a script I can run to report the Version Number ?
What is the Latest version number for Zend Optimizer ?

you already said it . The installed version of Zend Optimizer is 2.6.2.
The latest version of Zend Optimizer is 3.0.0

OK.. thanks ... I was just checking to make sure I understood what I was reading correctly.

I'll raise a ticket with my HOST support centre to find out why this is the case.

please let us know when the host is not willing to update Zend

I have my own server (with Cpanel release version), and Zend 2.6.2 works perfectly with 4.4.2 (gotta stay on the 4x series for x-cart).

Upgrade to 3, and it takes up the entire CPU, and httpd eventually, or worse, continues to live even when given the kill signal. Never had issues with httpd before this. In fact, the entire server has a history of running perfectly. I don't think Zend 3 isn't quite road ready yet for all setups. :(

OK.... so far so good. they upgraded this time.

Looks like Zend Extension Manager was upgraded aswell .. is this part of Zend Optimizer ?

I use hostgator and I just got off the live chat with them. They are currently testing zend 3.0 but are having a lot of issues with broken 2.0 scripts and aren't planning on implenting until some of those issues are resolved

HostGator also supports Ioncube, but when I run the test script on my forum

the test suggests that I use zend? I'm relatively certain that is the option I chose when I installed VBSEO. Is there a way tell if I am currently using the Zend version or ioncube version?

Because there is currently an issue with zend can I just use the Ioncube option to upgrade to the 2.4.5 version when it becomes available? or would that screw up the initial installation if I originally installed the Zend version?
